Frequently asked questions

THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DETAILED BELOW APPLY TO ALL RUNNERS PARTICIPATING IN THE LEFT HANDED GIANT RUN CLUB SOCIAL RUNS ORGANISED AND RUN BY LEFT HANDED GIANT RUN CLUB.  BY TAKING PART IN ANY OF OUR SOCIAL RUNS AND EVENTS THE PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGES THE ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

The participant is fully responsible for their actions whilst attending any of our social runs or events. This includes inside and outside of the start and finish locations and the event route itself. Left Handed Giant Run Club and Left Handed Giant does not accept responsibility for the actions of the participant, nor the consequences of such actions.

Each participant upon signing in to each run agrees that they are physically and mentally capable of completing the run they have signed up to do. If during the run they decide to drop out and leave the group, they do so at their own risk and must inform a Run Leader of Left Handed Giant Run Club upon doing this.

The sign-in waiver for the run must be completed by a person aged 18 or over. Evidence of age may be requested. Participants under the age of 18 will not be able to participate in the run.

The participant confirms that the kit they have chosen to wear during the event is suitable and worthy to complete the run.

During the runs, there will be your run leaders communicating warnings at appropriate times throughout the run. It’s the decision of the participant to decide whether to listen and continue on a section or not.

Due to the nature of the runs some of the terrains will be uneven or slippery. It is down to the participant to decide whether they will proceed on that section or not. Therefore, if the participant chooses to proceed on a section that isn’t part of our route to avoid any obstacles or sections they believe are beyond their capabilities, they do so entirely at their own risk.

Left Handed Giant Run Club reserves the right to shorten or adjust the published route at any time.

Participants must be considerate to other users of bridleways, footpaths, or byways. Upon seeing other users, such as walkers or horse riders, participants are required to pass with care. Where appropriate participants should stop and wait at the side of the track to allow other users to pass safely.

Each participant is fully responsible for any fees or costs incurred arising from an accident. This involves, but is not exclusive to police, air ambulance, fire and rescue, and the ambulance service. If it arises that the participant is not able to make the decision to call the emergency services, they agree that a member of the Left Handed Giant Run Club, Left Handed Giant or a member of the public may call for them. In this incident, the participant still accepts the cost incurred and the consequences of such actions.

Each participant agrees to assign and grant the right and give permission for Left Handed Giant Run Club and Left Handed Giant to use and publish any photographs, films, or videos on any Left Handed Giant Run Club activity. The participant hereby releases Left Handed Giant Run Club and Left Handed Giant from any and all liability from such use and promotion. The participant hereby authorizes the reproduction, sale, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage, and distribution of said photograph or video without limitation at the discretion of Left Handed Giant Run Club and Left Handed Giant. The participant specifically waives any right to the compensation they may have for appearing in any of the photographs or videos at a Left Handed Giant Run Club and Left Handed Giant run or event.

If the participant is unable to complete a run they agree to call or return to the start/finish venue and report to a member of the Left Handed Giant Run Club and Left Handed Giant teams.

If you have signed in on behalf of someone else, by accepting our terms and conditions you are responsible for making them aware of the terms and hereby are accepting them on behalf of them.
